The super wide Walker Brothers “RuffNuts” 28mm rim is the absolute in comfort, durability in the most extreme conditions and allow for fitting of extra wide tire profiles. The wheels are an excellent match to any Gravel or Cyclo-Cross machine and come in 3 rim depths for a variety of conditions and terrain, for Tubeless. Clincher and Tubular formats. As all wheels in the range are disc brake compatible in either 6 bolt or central locking, they have no braking surface which lightens the rim weight for greater acceleration and lessen centrifugal force to assist control and steering.
All rims feature a U shaped profile for aero dynamic effect. Once again we chose our favourite Sapim straight pull spokes with brass nipples to help prevent seizure.
The DT Swiss 350 Straightpull is a strong hub providing long-term reliability. Perfect for riders who like to use high quality bike parts and need a tough and durable wheel. The aluminium hubs are 100% swiss made for world class precision and quality. The spoke holes are crafted precisely to make sure the spoke heads can not move under load changes, reducing the risk of spoke fatigue failure. The high quality hubs are equipped with the DT Swiss ratchet system. The patented freehub system which utilizes precise star ratchets, guarantees for a very high load capacity and reliability. Thanks to the “no tool” concept maintenance is fairly easy. Labyrinth seals protect the bearings from dirt and water and ensure smooth rolling characteristics.
The DT Swiss 240s straightpull disc brake is the perfect front hub for your modern gravel bike: Straight pull lacing and Center Lock disc brake standard are reliable in downhills, a 15 mm thru-axle provides stiffness and weight optimized parts throughout save watts for long climbs in the Alps. The contact free double flange seal system and stainless steel bearings guarantee smooth rolling characteristics.
The Novotec D411 is a super-smooth front hub with hub body made of UD full carbon. The hub, typical of Novatec, has a simple exterior, high stiffness, low weight and high maintenance. The wide intended use ranges from gravel, road bike or cyclocross. The excellent running characteristics are realized by two high-quality, double-sealed Japanese ball bearings.
The special flange is designed for straight straightpull spokes fitted with their forged heads into the hub. The straight form allows a more direct transmission of force and, above all, an even better optimization cover to lightweight construction.
Optionally a conversion set for quick releases is available. Axle type is 15×100 through axle and mounting width is 100 mm. 2 ball bearings (EZO)
